Whispering Grove
Artist Statement :
Hina Mir
“Whispering Grove” is an interactive light installation that simulates the hidden life within a patch of grass. Large shifting leaves and a bed of artificial grass conceal LED lights that flicker and move, mimicking the elusive presence of unseen creatures. The effect is a mesmerizing illusion, as if tiny beings are rustling beneath the surface, evoking a sense of curiosity and wonder. Blurring the boundary between the organic and the digital, this piece invites viewers to pause and observe the magic hidden in the smallest corners of nature. Artificial patch of nature to life using Arduino-controlled LEDs, small motors, and shifting leaves… As an artist, I am drawn to nature not just for its beauty but for its movement, connection, and quiet intelligence. Plants fascinate me—they breathe, grow, and communicate in ways we barely perceive. Their duality—fragility and strength, stillness and motion—inspires my work.
